My intent for this module is to gain an understanding of the illustration industry, who and what my practise is and how and where I fit into the professional world of being an illustrator. I hope to come away from this module with a better understanding of my own style, what work I enjoy doing and who and where I'd like to work for or see my work.
I don't anticipate this module will completely set me up and off into the world of illustration, but instead, I intend to rather lay down the foundations for my own professional illustration practise. I will achieve this through finding my brand/style, in the creation of my promotional items, social media presence, website and portfolio. Illustration has generally always been something I have enjoyed doing and done for pleasure or study, through sharing my work with friends, families, clients and creating items I'd intend for the outside world to see, potentially buy, I will subsequently and hopefully achieve this.
